Biography
Dr Nayak is a Laparoscopic Surgeon, Surgical Oncologist with 18 Years of Experience.
He graduated from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore. He did his postgraduation in General Surgery from Govt. Medical College, Calicut and his postdoctoral training in Surgical Oncology from Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute, Kolkata. He also did a fellowship in laparoscopic and robotic onco-surgery. His special interest is laparoscopic and robotic cancer surgery.
He is a Member of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK.

He has many national and international scientific publications to his credit.
Pioneering works on laparoscopic cancer surgery like Minimally Invasive Neck Dissection (MIND) and Modified Video Endoscopic Inguinal Lymphadenectomy (VEIL) are now published.
He has also been bestowed with many accolades during his career like Detroit fellowship, etc. Recently his video of laparoscopic low anterior resection for rectal cancer received best video award at an international cancer congress.
He is a teaching faculty at Department of Surgical Oncology, Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore, and is associated with A.V.Hospital as a consultant.
